There is no room for "embellishment" in this piece, it is one of Chopin's most personal utterances. It is like a confession that begins slowly and painfully, which then, after a moment of introspection (the hymn-like middle section), reaches a paroxysm of violent emotional outburst that is unmatched in his music.
