There were elements of "The Becoming" that reminded me of Michael Mann's film "Manhunter", so I thought I'd try this out.
Warning; there are spoilers for the movie in this.
This is probably the most effects-laden thing I've ever done. Lots of color "correction" and other visual changes of the original (brilliant) movie.
It was really hard to put the edits/cuts where they are and leave it there. There was a kind of feel I was going for, and the typical "always cut on a major beat" type of thing just wouldn't have worked right for this. I wanted the off-kilter feel of having the edits in seemingly the wrong places.
The timing of the ending with the music is also intentional. I wanted the vocals in the song to continue after the film's "resolution", to further express that Dollarhyde's thought process was still in Graham's head.
I'm really happy with the result.

Michael Mann really knows how to get a shot...i've heard several songs that can immediately remind me of certain scenes or shots from Manhunter

Well done, Yorgle! Perhaps you should get into the movie trailer-making business. I also had an idea of using this song in a movie, but as an intro with all kinds of freaky things going on in the background. You made a masterpiece!

to those who don't know "Manhunter" was remade by Ridly Scott as "Hanibal" :)

Not quite. "Manhunter" is based on the book "The Red Dragon" by Thomas Harris. It's the first in a series, followed by "The Silence Of The Lambs" and then "Hannibal" and "Hannibal Rising". The book "The Red Dragon" was recently re-adapted to a film. It's not really a remake of this film though, they're just from the same source material. I've heard that "The Red Dragon"(film) is quite different.
