in light of Dan Hardys most recent article discussing wrestlers using their skills to stall in fights and neutralise their opponents in order to halt the action, i decided to give my opinion on this very real issue that has been addressed by The Outlaw

  • the responsibility lies with the refs and judges, not fighters, guys who are just earning their crust using wrestling cant be blamed.Guys who talk about their legacy in the sport like gsp do need to be more agressive and translate his domination into stoppages.I agrre with most of what u say, hey and please stop ure american ufc noob fan voice its annoyin, i m irish just sayin.

  • @chadmichaels69 i am aware it is the judges and refs responsibility...which i mentioned in the video

i'll stop impersonating the trolls when there are no more trolls to impersonate, its only courtesy to inform them how ridiculous they sound

  • Im with you mate.I enjoy the wrestling aspect when its used aggressively and to finish people. But a guy holding onto someones leg for 15 minutes (Nick Lentz) is frustrating to watch. Its a total fight spoiler.

  • its so refreshing to hear a good opinion...

  • @cazz3000 The Way I See It Is If A Fighter Sucks At Takedown Defense And Sucks At Getting Back To Their Feet Then They Deserve To Lose Via Lay N Pray. The Only Reason So Many Fighters Lay N Pray Is Because So Many Fighters Suck At Defending It....It's A Matter Of Taking Advantage Of Their Opponent's Weaknesses.

If Most Fighters Sucked At Striking And Jiu-Jitsu There Would Be More Finishes But That's Not The Case In The UFC. Most Fighters Suck At Wrestling So They Get Layed N Prayed, Its Simple.

  • This whole video should be about Jonathan Fitch. Fuck that idiot. Decisions should not be allowed in the UFC.

  • @thnk4urself well i definitely agree with you on that.his loss to matt serra definitely broke his spirit and made him start fighting waaay to cautious. As a result, most of his fights are really boring cuz he fights just to win and not to destroy his opponents cuz he is afraid of being caught.but as it goes with his wrestling control,it really sux that these guys that he goes against cant stop him from controling them on the ground.i mean they all know how he fights and still they cnt stop it.

  • @jas108 well he's a better fighter and he's bigger. at least they wouldn't be to cautious to capitalize. I'm not trying to insult GSPs skills or him as a person, I'm just question his spirit. In my opinion his fighting spirit is pretty weak after getting beat by Matt Serra. He doesn't have that fight to the death spirit that I like to see in fighters and as a result, his fights often leave me annoyed that he doesn't fight to his best ability.

  • @thnk4urself no actually its pathetic that GSP can get them in those positions and they cant do shit about it.they are the ones that are pathetic XD

  • the really sad part is GSP can control all these fighters and get on top of them yet he can't finish. It's pathetic that he can get fighters in those positions and he just stalls instead of finishing it. If I could get people down like that, I would finish them in seconds. GSP is scared to go for the finish so he stalls for entire fights. What Jon Fitch does is he systematically breaks down fighters and he gives them the worst beating possible instead of ending it quick, GSP just stalls

  • There's nothing wrong with wrestling or grappling if that's what brought you to the sport. I think guys like Jon Fitch or Jake Shields are fuckin amazing. GSP is different because of te reasons he wrestles. A few years ago, GSP was a striker with grappling skills. GSP outstruck pretty much everyone & he still could today. After he got beat by Serra he started this lay n pray bullshit. He's a wrestler now bcus he's afraid of risks that aren't there. He's afraid to strike even though he's the best

  • I AGREE, COWARDS.

  • Good video man! I agree with just about every single thing that you said. Everything you said made sense and this is something that needs to be addressed in my opinion in the scoring of MMA and stalling in MMA. It's not just wrestling or grappling, it's everything, what you said about Rashad Evans made a lot of sense and the Nik Lentz fight isn't even in need of discussion, great thoughts on this topic man!
