This is my favorite Keith Green song. He was such a passionate singer, and his lyrics were awesome. I still listen to your music often...I miss your music. I wish more young people knew of Keith's life and music...I do my part to spread the word.

i see so much pride every day, but God hates pride so much, but why are we proud? we are all sinners,  we need to acknowledge this to get anywhere, this song captures our frailty and need for repentance so well.

@atoam It's not a quote from the bible but it is true if the context is correct. God judges the heart and while he hates sin and the one who is willfully commiting it He also loves the person and longs for their release.

As Christians, how many times do we emphasis specific doctrinal points over the heart of Christ?

@Kerryberry2007, where in the Bible does it teach that God hates only the sin, but not the sinner. ... "The boastful shall not stand in Your sight; You hate all workers of iniquity." (Psalm 5:5 )- "God is a just judge, And God is angry with the wicked every day." (Psalm 7:11)

As Christians how many times do we use "Christianese" statements, instead of finding doctrine that is substantiated in Scripture.

@sport142 I try so hard to get young Christians into Keith's music. They usually can't past the now "old sound", and they instantly reject it. It's so heartbreaking that they have absolutely no idea what they are rejecting. God was so evident in Keith's music and voice. ..and I don't know of any modern artists who carry that strong of conviction in their music.  Keith was surely one of a kind.

@MMarto72 Hey Marto, This was in regards to eastbaylifter's comments about the fact that this is not a video so it doesn't belong here? Anyone has a right to share their video and music, regardless if it is a still photo or a moving video. I was a bit tiffed, but I realize it's not a big deal and if someone doesn't like the video, they also have a right to respond, whether pro or con. God bless!
