My first ever television appearance back in 1980 on the BBC 1 news magazine programme Nationwide. It was a piece on nannies and my bits were filmed in Kensington Gardens. I am the little boy with the dark bonnet and long blond hair. Vanity has persuaded me to add my bits at the end in slow motion. My own nanny the late Dorothy Walker can be seen talking near the beginning of the piece. She is greatly missed. The reporter is Laurie Meyer who at one point was Mohammed Al Fayed's press secretary and the presenter is Sue Lawley now known as host of Desert Island Discs on BBC Radio 4.
Thanks Joey. Hehe :)

Thanks so much. They took no nonsense but I do miss her. Nanny Walker died about six years ago and she was a lovely lady who gave happiness to different generations of different familes. She used to tell me her memories of England during both the first and second world wars and it all felt so vivid. Helped spurr my interest in history. I wish I could have interviewed her and written her memories down. A wonderful woman.

Oh William! So you must be a friend of Dorothy then;-) Do you still play with wooden toys? She kinda looks like a pommy Beryl, only with some class. No offense but I can see the likeness. OMG you were so cute dressed like Sir Francis Drake. Blessings +^+^+ The Saint
