Great job on the review, very professional! Just stumbled upon this. Clement 227 is almost done and on its way to me. Can't wait!

This is one of the most thorough bass reviews I've viewed "period"!!! I just heard of Clement Basses today (from Ed Freidland's review) and found your link on the Clement website. OH...Great sounding, "Beautiful" bass you've got there :-) I have one question regarding the "Zero Fret"...What's the deal??? Going to check your other posts now. THANKS!!!

@rteddy3
Thanks for the kind words! To try and answer your question - the zero fret is there in addition to the nut, the purpose is so a string played open still actually breaks over a fret, not the nut so the timbre of the note is not coloured by the material of the nut. (or at lease thats how I understand it!)

I have some GAS for a 6 string. Clement is an option. I was looking for a fretted Clement review, most of them are fretless.
