This is a heavy slow doom number by the NWOBHM Witchfinder General. The song is called Quietus and is off their live 83' album released which I believe wasn't released on cd until 1995. The song originally appeared on their 2nd cd titled Friends of Hell in 1983

  • For the people wondering about the speed of the recording, yes this one is the slower version, both the LP version with the cover shown in the video and the CD with the skull on it have this version, the CD that uses this video's picture as the cover art has all the songs at the correct speed.

  • Thanks for clearing up this ongoing debate

  • Yeah this sounds like it's at the wrong speed. Still sounds wicked cool though!!!

  • It is Parkes, but the tape is at the wrong speed so it makes his voice sound lower.

  • Watch this new awesome true metal band from Brazil:watch?v=-Rv2hpUi3kU

  • sounds so sick

  • Dont like it.... :S

  • OK - to finally end the speed of this song debate, the first issue of this album on CD was released at a SLOWER speed, thus making zeeb sound like barry white. But they fixed that with the reissue of the same album and the speed is what it is suppose to be and Zeeb sounds like Zeeb.

Oh and BTW the song R.I.P (live) from the EP soviet invasion was actually recorded in the studio with the crowd noises added in!

  • This version is the slow vocals which don't sound too good.

Fortunenately my CD copy is the correct speed which this song is awesome

  • well the slowed down guitars sound cool but you should not pitch down the vocals, that sounds should perverse. I cant understand why they slowed the records down before they released them. Which version of the album do I have to buy to not have the slow down effect?
