You could take down alot with that.

@rangerstubbs76 I wish I would've. Gentleman selling it wanted $1400 for it, which seemed high when I was looking at it... but as I walked away I regretted it, went back to pick it up, and found out it had sold. Still kicking myself for that.

@Thatevilmidget Wow, to see two at the same show is rare indeed... only saw one for sale at any gun show I've ever been to and the other was owned by a friend of mine. He misaligned the drum reassembling it and wound up blowing the barrel off. I got called to fix it. Took a month to get the parts. Traded it right off for a nice preban AK. You are right, only from a collector's standpoint would I say a Striker was worth it, $1100 but certainly not $3800. Hope you got that Mosin.

@rangerstubbs76 That IS quite a large if. I've seen a grand total of 2 of 'em at shows (both at the same exact Tulsa show oddly enough... They were on the same aisle, 4 tables down from each other. One guy wanted $3800 for his and the other wanted $1100, but I was in the market for a Mosin 1907 carbine so I didn't bother with either). I agree, they really are a worthless shotgun, but they're fairly interesting from a collector's standpoint.

@Thatevilmidget Most Striker's DO have the 18 in. barrel, so it slips the gun out of the AOW/SBR category. I don't know for certain if you still have to have the stamp to own one with the shorter barrel. Not so sure that they are classed DD's either, you can purchase them at gun shows without ANY stamp, IF you can ever find one... Still a very cheaply made and horrible shooting piece though.

@Cros451 He seriously asked what that on the ground was because the drum has a loading gate that was supposed to be kept closed after loading. It annoys ME because you still made that comment when you OBVIOUSLY havn't ever fired on of these or you'd KNOW that...

So these are Destructive Devices? I always thought they were All Other Weapons for some reason (wishful thinking I guess... that $5 transfer tax for AOW's is so much nicer than the $200 tax for the other NFA stuff).
-
Do they have a Pump Action ones???
Yes, they are classified as DDs. Currently running around $1300 + $200 NFA tax. StreetSweepers are going for around $1100 + $200 NFA tax.

what does a destructive device mean
horndog2224 1 year ago
@horndog2224 It is essentially whatever the BATF wants it to be. When the Striker 12 and StreetSweeper first came out they were not considered DD's. Now they are so BATF can control the sale and distribution of them. Don't be surprised if some liberal administration tries to make .50 Cal's into DD's, then all .50's would have to be registered. Look at Kalifornia. Think about that for a while....

@horndog2224 It's whatever the BATF declares it is. Today the Striker -- tomorrow the .50 cal?

I heard you cant own it in America because the BATF labeled it as destructive device so how can you own one in America.

@cvjason93 Complete a Form 4, get it signed by your local police chief and pay the BATF their $200 for a one time tax stamp. That's it IF your state allows destructive devices in the hands of civilians.
