I realised the upload limit is actually 10:59, which gives a little more flexibility splitting clips.
But yes, I do have to split a lot of the videos I upload - you'd be hard-pressed to find very much by Acid Mothers Temple, for instance, clocking below 10 minutes. This particular piece is something like 18:30 in all.

How did you get a video on youtube thats longer than 10mins?
most our songs are longer than 10mins and we have to cut them down to get them up on the tube
