@LVdancerbabe the supporting screaming helps dancers i danced for 5 years and now i do cheerleading....i love hearing my coaches scream and yell it helps us keep our energy and finish the routine strong
really great! as someone who has judge competitions a long time ago, there were a few areas that I noticed could use just a little work. One: toes pointed where needed... some toes seemed to get a little lazy on the fouette turns and in the jumps and a few on the illusions. The other thing I noticed applied to the stag jumps @ 1:15 ... there are different lines happening. Where is the focus and how high the bent leg is varied through the team. Other than that it was pretty clean Good Job!
very well done. it's so cool seeing older team videos and seeing where you guys are now, it's awesome. i can already tell the jazz for uda will easily top last year amazing performance. good luck with the season ahead of you.
@xoMoorePleasexo I understand your point. But this is a dance PERFORMANCE..how can you focus on and appreciate what THEY are doing when YOU are screaming through the whole thing? (Don't mind my caps, I wish I could italicize lol) It's as if you are now part of the performance, and that idea is very weird to me. I think the main difference is, it's expected and appreciated when live. But sitting at my computer watching....it's inappropriate to scream and cheer along....lol
@LVdancerbabe I don't agree at all. Coming from a competitive high school dance team and collegiate dance team I will tell you that hearing all the support in the crowd really helps keep up the energy. Dance team in my opinion would be viewed more of a competitive sport. When you go to football games, soccer games, baseball games, and just about any other sports event there is support coming from the crowd. Dance team is no different.
Hate the yelling. I feel like you should prepare enough beforehand and be in the proper state of mind before you step on stage to pull off the performance of a lifetime. Shouldn't need the audience cheering you on. I can't appreciate their performance with other people distracting me.
