It seems like such wonderful day, i hear all the excitement. I am ready to run, i can do it

everyone says i can do it. oh i am being saddled up, i feel proud of how i look, some thing has bothered me for a few days, but i guess i am all right. oh my rider is on me, and i am headed out to the track,gosh loads of people, are they here to watch me. i am heading toward the starting gate, i get nervous with the starting gate, they are pushing me in, it is cramped got to get out of here. the gates open, oh i am running so fast, never ran so fast, got to catch up, trying my best, oh this hard work, but i am doing it. i feel a little strange, want to stand up tall, but i keep heading toward the fence, my rider he whacks me with the whip, i am trying my best, doesn't he know that. trying so hard, my legs, they just don't seem to understand. please don't whip me any more, i am trying with all my heart, i am close but yet i seem so far away. i am falling behind WHY, i can't go faster, want to, but my legs, why can't I. Oh the finish line i fell behind, i didn't do it, I didn't make it, I am going down, what is happening to me, why i want to stand up, i can't oh please i want to stand, i am down, what has happened to me. Pain, Pain, I don't understand, they hold me down i am shaking all over, can't stop shaking, i want to get up, that is all, i want to stand. the pain, it doesn't stop. what is that they are putting around me, i can't see the people the horses any more. why i am down, the pain, oh i want to stand. a man is looking at my legs, he shakes his head. he doesn't to talk me, why doesn't he? oh what is happening to me, please tell me some one, what is that that man is giving me, what is it. i just want to stand, i don't feel any pain any more. i am tired i ran faster, than i ever did before. no pain, I am still running but i feel no pain. i never felt so free, as i do now, and i am winner, for now i run with no pain, just freedom and peace. I can stand now, i hold my head high, for i won in my heart, i

know i won.

SHUT UP!to the people who want to ban horse racing or think its cruel...seriously these horses were bred to run its in there blood and not all trainers and owners send the horses to slaughter houses.Yes some owners are cruel but alot people care enough bout the horse to keep trying and no matter how it does atleast they'll be loved.I agree they should race when there atleast 3years old but its the owners choice to race them and no matter what,that horse is dreaming of being in the winners circle

I do agree that some people DO race horses for the love of money and fill their eyes with greed, but in all reality, a great majority don't. kathleenburns, I completely disgrace you comment of not feeling sorry for the incident, they were crying, and the wife of the owner could not even watch them put her down, could not watch them kill her. They loved their hore, how dare say such a blasphemous thing.

@kathleenburns How dare you. The money and the time and the love that is pumped into breeding, raising and training a horse. That money will not make up for it. Do you own horses? Do you understand the bond that you form even with horses that aren't yours personally? If not, then shut the hell up. Horse breeding and racing is not a greedy thing, it takes SO MUCH MONEY to run that you have to start with money to make any money. You do it for the love of the horses, not money.
