The Rock-afire Explosion at Billy Bob's Wonderland

On Aug. 2 some friends and I traveled to Barboursville, WV to see the Rock-afire Explosion at Billy Bob's Wonderland. I heard this was only one of three public places in the United States that still has a working RAE, and since it was only 2 hours away from my home, I had to take a road trip :)

Sadly, this RAE is barely functioning. Especially Rolfe and Earle, it almost made us cry when watching them... :(

I spoke with a lady who works there and she said since they don't make the RAE anymore, they can't order any new parts or have them repaired, so I guess they're just playing them out until the eventually die. They're not programmed very well, and they don't play many actual RAE cover songs.

However, it was still a treat to see them live after almost 20 years of thinking they didn't exist anymore, and we definitely had some laughs watching them.

At least the band is moving their mouths. At the place where i go to, the band is so broken that it's hard to hear the music not only that but they barley move at all. If you're going to have a robot band make sure they work or don't show them at all.

@irockutube72real You have no clue what you are talking about!!! I have BEEN to FunZone, and even when they DO turn on the air compressor, 1 or 2 movements work. No maintenance has been done in AGES. Learn your facts before you comment.

I love the nice touch at the end of the girl announcing "Ticket 52, your order is ready.." lol. The damn place really looks like a prison cafeteria. And it almost looks like the robots were being forced to perform to a room of prisoners. lol
