From The Asthanga Yoga Collection: http://www.soundstrue.com/shop/The-Ashtanga-Yoga-Collection/6.productdetails

The breath and body move as one in the Ashtanga Yoga tradition. This classical path harnesses the power of the postures to reveal the pure awareness, freedom, and depth of all that is yoga. Now with The Ashtanga Yoga Collection, renowned teacher Richard Freeman masterfully guides you through this precise union of breath, alignment, and flowing postures as taught to him by master yogi K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India.

  • This guy stares & speaks like some kind of extra-terrestrial.... But this is the best yoga video I've been able to find so far. None of the more popular yoga dvds really focus on breathing and the specific breathing with the flow patterns is the most important thing in yoga.

  • Wonderful

  • Thank you . I love this video.

  • my thai boxing "kru" studied under richard and used his techniques as a warm up and cool down and to increase flexibility, i don't believe in any supernatural nonsense but yoga is good physically and this style (ashtanga) seems best for strength and fitness.

  • Absolutely Brilliant breath instruction. Thank you for referencing the perineum and helping me to take my breath a step further. Thank you!

  • great upload.

  • The bit at the beginning if pretty hard to understand.

  • Thanks for recording Richard Freeman, SoundsTrue!

I find Richard's CD set Yoga Matrix is one of the greatest commentaries on the philosophy of yoga.

Check out my page for a video on the same topics...
