HP TouchPad for $99.... Why?

This guy is just like so many others on the HP Touchpad sale forums... bitter that he missed his chance. His effort to placate himself by attempting to convince himself that it's not awesome is so boring. I guess that's what you'd expect from the huge majority of Apple lovers -- morons that have no real clue about technology. I wonder if he made a rant when the iPhone came out saying, "Why buy the iPhone? It's not necessary". Fucking hypocrite

Several months later, my touchpad is not in a box somewhere. So the question is why. I too have a computer and laptop and phone with cell service.

Portability a laptop mostly and like Uncle Tone that I would never pay 600 bucks but a 99 it is great.

The interface is better than Iphone or Android. Supports Android, wireless tether to phone, easier to read than phone Tone should know that wearing glasses. If you would have purchased one, you would have found out how cool they are

Just to let you know, WEBOS IS NOT ABANDONED. HP IS making a newer version of the Touchpad IN 2012/early 2013......

hi, i understand what you are saying about the hp pad.i have a acer mini laptop.good for

music sofware,dvd on the go an portable t.v.this is why am getting the cheap(99 and under)

android tablet 7 inch.can read the mourning paper with-out the long boot-up of my computer

for free!! can listen to internet radio(with names of songs)while i work on my laptop. use less

power,not to mention you can zip-through simple web pages a LOT faster. even more portabe

,lighter,and faster than my mini.

Cyanogen mod is stable (regardless of what shyte you hear)

I run Google Earth and a hundred other Android apps (inc. 3D)

"what developer is going to write software for a platform that is dead?" um, a smart one. There are over 200,000 new touchpads on the market with users looking to spend money on useful apps. They write an app and put it out there and will have a lot better chance of their work standing out. By contrast write an app for the android market and have to compete with 100 other developers with similar apps. Or even worse trying to get your new app approved on the app store. Supply & Demand!
