There've been violent scenes in the Spanish capital Madrid overnight, as protesters opposed to a Papal visit clashed with police.

@MrSouthphillyitalian well, the vatican did rape and pillage and destroy everything years ago, i understand the reason for it, that one wman said they were waisting money to bring the pope there when people need that money for help, when it could be used for a good cause instead of a celebrity man. besides catholicism is just an accepted cult. look at what all evil former popes have done through the centuries to christians. Oh what ever, we helped their economy so much it would make their head spin if they realized the numbers. God bless the Holy Father, may the Lord grant him length of days and deliver him not to the will of his enemies.

I was there, so were about 2 million others...if we spent 20 euro each that would make 40,000,000 euro. I spent MUCH more than 20 euro that week. Madrid was delighted to take our money! What ever the government 'spent' on the visit was DWARFED by what we pilgrims brought. Madrid is cool, so are the people!

@SpaniardsAreGypsies i´m spanish and i hate christians :) ... but really we are a minority , the spanish goverment pay 15 millions euros by the "pope show", is a christians govern ..Do you think a country can pay 15 millions euros in crisis times? we fight by this , by justice ..less stupids shows more education and jobs .
