well this cover is cool, but in the original, 3 fingers are used at the same time, it's rhythm was just like 'more than words', btw appreciate it man

Really really like this...haven't heard an acoustic cover that I've liked as much. Blessings!

I know u put up the chords... but is there anyway u could post the tabs for this... I really like ur rendition!!

It's tough to get used to at first, but I've been using a thumb pick for songs like this, freeing up your index finger as well.

Your voice is a like a muscle, like your other muscles in your body -- the more you work with it, the better shape it'll be in. If you overdo it -- you'll strain your throat / voice. I do this myself, unfortunately -- I hardly talk, ever, and then I'll get in the mood to sing; loud & hard, no less. It never ends well....
Just take it easy, work on things at a slower pace, and it should be alright. However, I'm not a voice coach nor a doctor... so this is just an opinion based on experience.

I guess I don't really know what 'flatpicking' is -- I assumed it was using a pick...obviously I misunderstand the term. Also, I don't know how to read, or write, tab -- though, I'll place the chords in their own comment in a few.

Actually, I already posted the chords, but they're on a different page -- here they are again:
Verse:
D2/F# D2/G Bm/Bm7 A2
Chorus
A G D A2 A G D
I'm playing this with the capo on the 2nd fret, and all chords are relative to the capo. However, I made a mistake on my previous posting -- I accidentally listed the "D" as an "E" before -- I'm sure that makes a big difference. Sorry about that.

how do you pick that fast man, i haev to use my fingers and i hate it b/c then i need the pick later for strumming

I don't think that I'm that fast, I think it just seems that way because I use both a pick & my fingers at the same time when I'm hitting individual strings.
You just need to get used to picking with your fingers (pinkie, ring & middle) while holding the pick between your thumb & your first finger, at least that's how I've learned to play. But, if you play this way you can 'finger pick' and strum simultaneously. I don't know if it's proper form, but it works.
