@horrorbusiness420 Then you need to try some better American beer. Try Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA. Some of the best beer made comes from the U.S (No, I am not talking about Bud Miller Coors). Pick yourself up a copy of Beer Wars to watch.
Cheers!

If i was to make a lager from any lager kit i would probably splash out for the carlsberg yeast. Dude have a shit load of beer there.

@CraigTube Good point about the bottom of the PET bottles. I hadn't thought of that when you showed your lager against the gas lamp. Just got my kit this afternoon,5 days total, only 3 of them shipping all the way to Lake Erie! Just need a couple more things & the wife & I are gunna git-r-done! I've thought about this for quite a while. I used to make wine as a young man. I think beer brewing has so many more possibilities...
LOL i love how it started off like well not a good beer, into a good beer, into a, well I could drink 4-5 of these and lovem lol

@Infantrymanmarine Without watching the video again, I think I said something along the lines that it was pretty good for a cheap beer. And I meant it didn't have offensive flavours, so it would be easy to put back 4 or 5 of them. You make it sound as if I kept changing my mind about what I thought of it during the video.

I personally think the chill haze looks nice in the homebrew beers. I prefer it.

@pauswa1966 Yeah haze doesn't bother me anymore. Who cares, as long as it tastes nice.

I'm having temp troubles as well with my Cooper's lager kit brew. I got an OG of 1.048 @ 30C,which is good. But,by 7:05am the next morning the temp went down to 24C. Then,by 8:20am,it went down to 22C. I had to wrap my old fleece lined work coat around the fermenter. Now,as of 10:18,it's holding at 22C. That's supposed to be good low range for the Cooper's yeast. If I can maintain this temp,it should be a good batch. Like shooting, slow is good.

@unionrdr Those temps are a bit too high. 18-20c is a good range for that yeast. Since you started off high, you can probably expect a few extra fruity flavours. Always best to ignore those Coopers instructions.
Cheers!
