The squat is the fundamental exercise in developing leg strength. When done properly, squats build leg strength and flexibility that will aid in all kinds of jumps and landings. Leg strength is paramount in parkour for longevity and performance.

  • When you do these do you push through your heels or the balls of your feet? Your videos are awesome BTW.

  • @rczosu You will be stronger and safer on squats if you push through your heels.

  • how many should you do? Reps, time, or what? Because I did 150 in a row and pulled my thigh or something because I couldn't walk very well. It was my first time doing these and I'm only 13, any tips?

  • Depends on the person. It sounds like you overdid it so next time, be a little more careful!

  • is that levi meeuwemberg?

  • Looks funny.

  • will i see results at my precisions?

  • I mean, pardon my bluntness, but really.

  • Next to useless without a barbell.

  • @Heammawihio well, I realize all this now, that was 2 months ago. And I didn't feel pain and was going for quantity which was my biggest fault. I understand all this now, and I actually feel kind of stupid for posting that in the first place!

  • @spiceuvlife

That shows how little about working out you actually know. You NEED to listen to your body. Burn is good, pain is bad. There's a difference, once you start feeling pain, you need to stop. You have to let your ego go, don't go for numbers, go for quality and form, and listen to what your body says.

  • everything in moderation big guy

& some things in life just take time. I didn't start getting really strong until I turned 20

  • nice he is like my idol in freerunning and your videos on conditioning and training are incredible thanks so much
