  • yeah I like the blow off too , pretty slick... I have the same question what about the malt? and I've always thought leave it exposed to air, and changing containers like that can damage the brew?

  • The most critical preventative measures for keeping your wort free of bacteria is to sanitize everything the wort touches and to cool the boiled wort as quick as possible. Yeast like the oxygen to begin with so the minor exposure is negligible. The LME was a 7# container 2/3 wheat 1/3 barley

  • Pretty good vid! Now where's the malt? From what I saw you put about 2 pounds of wheat LME in there. Makin a 2% beer or what? And why not save some work and just leave it in the bucket for the primary? Just askin?

  • The LME was 7 lbs. Though it say it's a wheat malt it's a typically a 2/3 wheat malt and 1/3 barley malt.. Yes, it could have stayed in the bucket but I have a thing about glass and being able to watch the action.:)

  • What is the name of the last song you had on? That is a good drinking song
