Pay attention to the lyrics, a guy marries a widow, widow's daughter is grown. Guys dad marries his son's new daughter. Making his dad his brother-in-law also. Making his daughter his mom. So if his daughter is also his mom, his daughter/mom's mom would be his wife. So his wife is his also his grandma. Since he is the husband of his grandma, he is his own grandpa. Video made from The Sims video game.

  • This is why country music scares me.

  • A lot of people say this song is creepy but if you analyze it close enough, it really does makes sense.

Even better, there is NO incest. All the relationships are perfectly LEGAL

  • surely his dad would be his son in law not brother in law

  • hey, if you daughter is your mom, that doesnt mean that you are your own grandpa. your daughter/mom's mom wouldnt be your wife, because you dont have to be married to the mother of your child

  • Ha the redneck anthem =w=

  • @Fabuladico: The original was by a country duo named Lonzo and Oscar. They did the song, of course, because of it's bizarre story and in interviews they, too, explained the legality of each relationship. The point of the song was simply to be bizarre and comical...there was no heightened over-analysis which goes on today about everything. Ray's version came along in 1987...it's on a comedy album he did called CRACKIN' UP where he appears as Humpty Dumpty on the album cover.
