The Agony of Man ALBUM PREVIEW: "The Funeral" by Nekofrog

For those that follow me on OCRemix or here on Youtube, thanks for listening to my video game remixes; they're my passion and I love spending my time on making music, whether or not anyone ever hears it. That said, you might have noticed some downtime in my remix posting. There is a reason for this, as I have been diligently working on multiple projects at once, including the one I'm announcing today.

My debut album is nearing completion, but for a few reasons that cannot be revealed here, it will be some months before it finally sees an official release. Until then, I figured I'd throw up a preview of what's to come. This preview consists of two fully completed (length-wise) songs, and one abbreviated song.

Entitled "The Agony of Man", this album features a trilogy of songs depicting the birth, life, and death of a man, detailing the major events that define his tragic life. It also spans various different genres of metal, including thrash metal, progressive metal, death metal, melo-death, and many others.

This song is entitled "The Funeral", and is the middle part of the aforementioned trilogy. It details the death and laying to rest of the man's wife, and his regret at having ever met her and inadvertently causing her death. Vocals (yes, this song has vocals) were recorded by a good friend of mine at OverClocked remix (DrumUltima, yep, the same guy who did the spoken dialogue in my Lufia remix here on youtube, he can be found here http://www.youtube.com/dougdrumultimaperry )

This song is still a work in progress, as vocals are still undergoing changes even as we speak. But I thought it'd be fun to give people a peek at what it sounds like now, and how a song changes over time before its final release.

Yes, the guitar pictured is what I use to record all of my music with. I told you it was customized as hell :)

Fantastic stuff. I love all your OCremix stuff and these songs are every bit as good, if not better. Keep up the great work! I'm totally buying this album when it's released
