well @dagunity the answer to ur question is that our parent dont give us our name but the name is given by some religious head people and the name stanzin is given by H.H the dalia lama

I think 90% of them (but not all) have as first name tenzing, but then they have a second name, and usually you call them by that name. :-)

The "problem" in the school was that the variety of second names was also not enormous (allot of kids were call Namgyal, chuskit, desal, etc)...

I have always wondered that why ladhakhis are being named alike each other ....its really impossible solve this mystery because ladhakhis actually dont really agree with this fact...even in this video...all of these kids v a common name....TENZIN.....lol...!!
