Peoples Postcode Lottery win comes to Sunderland-for the 10th time!

Residents in the SR6 9JP, Sunderland postcode are celebrating after landing the weekly Peoples Postcode Lottery Street Prize of £25,000- the 200th win the charity lottery has paid out to players in the North East!

In fact, as Street Prize Presenter and TFM radio DJ Judie McCourt explains, SR postcodes are incredibly lucky- £475,000 has been won in the area since February 2008 she explained And Sunderland won the tri-annual Postcode Jumbo of £250,000 mere months ago, in April this year.

This weeks winners in SR6 9JP, Side Cliff Road were blown away by the appearance of Judie and her cheques- 52 year old Patricia Nicholson, an accountant technician for the council, described herself as totally stunned and completely amazed at her £8,334 win.

She and husband Jon hope to treat the whole family to a fantastic holiday in France next summer with their unexpected windfall.

Second winner Lindsay Fenn accepted a £8,334 cheque on behalf of husband Duncan, who was at work when Judie called, while a third winner was on holiday- and has yet to discover her win!

Judie said if the day Im delighted our anniversary 200th win has come to Sunderland. Winner Patricia signed up because the lottery helps local causes in the area, and its true- Children North East and a Peoples Postcode Trust funded project with the Sunderland AFC are among the many causes benefitting from the support of the Peoples Postcode Lottery.
