NOT MUCH TIME LEFT FOR THE NEVADA LANDING CASINO

What makes it so silly to have torn this hotel down, was that it was making $5 million a year. In Las Vegas terms, a $5 million profit a year is chickenfeed. But they didn't have to do anything extra to get it. It was a cash cow - you don't have to put new money in it, just keep it running and reap the cash. They tore down a perfectly good hotel/casino to make yet another casino - which hasn't happened yet - and instead of an effortless $5 million a year, they're getting nothing. Very dumb.

It really sucks it's not there anymore. I have fond memories of staying over there as a kid with my family. I wasn't old enough to gamble at the time but I remember I loved hanging out in the arcade and going to the snack bar to get some mozzarella sticks. From there we'd go to Whiskey Petes, Buffalo Bills and Primadonna, we wouldn't even go to Vegas sometimes. Ah those were the good old days.

@ROGER2095 MGM believes the new master planned development in this area will generate more than $5 million.

What I don't like about the Goldstrike Casino is it's not ticket-n-ticket out.. You have to wait for a hand pay.. hate it.. If they go down, it's because they are behind the times.

They had really good comps there.. I'm sad too.. they tore it down and now there's nothing but weeds growing in it's place.. Very sad indeed..

Thank you for this great video with narration. Boy it's funny to hear the big plans they had for Jean before the economy and housing tanked.

I remember going there on the way to LA to visit family and eating in the coffee shop before hitting the road. Now I have to wait all the way till I get to Victorville!

Thank You! The Nevada Landing Casino was shut down in February, 2 months earlier than planned because most of the employees left.
