The premiere episode of UW 360 offers an exciting mix of stories from the University of Washington, letting you take a closer look inside the campus and beyond. The stories begin with a study on the potentially disastrous results of building homes and businesses along flood-prone rivers, and what we can do to avoid catastrophe. Visit the renowned Lamborghini Lab, where researchers create lightning strikes and high-impact crashes in the quest to make safer vehicles. Meet a UW alum who helped bring local farmers' markets to Seattle neighborhoods; and visit the new Center for Pediatric Dentistry, which provides dental care for young children in our area and helps encourage that care around the world. The Ocean Observatories Initiative provides the opportunity to view amazing undersea footage launched from the UW research vessel Thompson during the Enlighten '10 cruise in the Pacific. Then, meet Daylee Baker, a second-generation Husky, as she starts her freshman year on campus, and pay a farewell tribute to departing UW President Mark Emmert.

UWTV presents UW 360, a brand new magazine-style show. UW 360 profiles the fascinating people, programs and community connections that define the University of Washington.

The show looks at a wide range of UW topics from solar energy, to heart tissue regeneration, to neighborhood farmer's markets - and much more. The half-hour program is hosted by UW Alum Samantha Rund, who offers an insider's view on each story. With an abundance of UW stories to tell, each episode will give viewers a chance to discover a new facet of the University.
