Jerry Etheridge of the North Texas Battle Group explains the systems and fun of building scale models of historical battle ships.  The group uses co2 to fire ball bearings at each other until the boats sink.  Afterwards, they go out in rowboats, and retrieve the sunken vessels, patch them up and run them again.  Their website has more information and videos. www.ntxbg.org/

  • would you know where i can get a set of plans for the hms repulse 1/144 scale

  • Yes, they are exposed.

The receiver, however is either placed in a watertight box or into a balloon, sealed with blutac and cable ties.

The SLA batteries are unharmed by immersion, due to their construction.

The servo boards are coated with a waterproofing compound.

Motors and servo internals tolerate immersion for short periods, and are rinsed with alcohol, blown dry and relubed.
