First test of the Slow Motion Record Mode (SloMo) of my new HD Camcorder, Sony SR11. We shot this one typical afternoon, until the battery ran dry...about 70 minutes, at the Beach February 2009 in Santa Monica, CA. Quickly edited with a new program, VideoStudio Pro x2. Although I like how it turned out, I'm kinda disappointed that the SloMo feature doesn't really shoot in true HD.

Thanks! I moved clips around and changed the transitions a bit. It took me about 5 uploads to youtube using different codecs before I found one that looked decent!

Excellent, you make very nice clips. The beach looks great, so much better than Holland, where we basically have four rain seasons ;-)

Thank you. I've been to Holland, a very fine place indeed, but yes we do have a more mild winter here than many other places. Sometimes in the middle of winter, we will even have 80 degree (f) weather!

What do you mean by " SloMo feature doesn't really shoot in true HD"? I'm planning to buy same camera in next few weeks and I thought that it records slomo in 1920x1080?
Please respond because I'm really looking forward to that feature.

Thanks! Yes, SloMo shoots in SD quality, not HD. The attributes for a slomo clip states 1920x1080, & 16x9 under Properties, but the " video quality "is not true HD. The Manual even says that the quality is not as good as Normal speed. Google it for more feedback/reviews.
