  • Hi idiot. Plates in an HHO cell act as capacitors, NOT resistors! Now recalculate

for capacitance, then you have it! Capacitors in series divide, not multiply.

  • I am very far from an idiot the plates themsleves are capacitors and hold a charge which allows it to work and produce gas but the resistors represent the water on how it conducts the power between the plates. you did bring up a good topic but starting with hi idiot is not the proper way to go about it whem i make the real test video I will also show how it is a capacitor too. Be nice to people being a jerk is not the way

  • You are exactly correct, and I sincerely apologize for the "Idiot" comment! No excuse

other than a bad day - sorry. Please go on to explain how a cell acts as capacitor to help

others better understand what they are working

    with. Thank you!

  • I'm new to HHO. But wondering why don't you just use resistors in the wiring between the plates instead of using neutral plates? Or why not just use a resistor between the power supply and the HHO generator to lower the voltage down to lets say 2 volts from whatever the power supply puts out? Than you wouldn't need neutral plates.

  • @suzieloverpants, no excuse is correct. you are the idiot.

  • I noticed there might be an error in the video. Vpp = ( P - 1 ) / V ---- so if i have 5 plates and 12v, i have 4/12? I think the equation is backwards and should be Vpp = V / ( P - 1 ), making the answer 12/4 or 3.

  • Ok.. i see this, and i believe it, but WHY use N plates in an HHO cell?

In my head -+-+-+- still kicks butt, if you draw too much amps or heat just lower the voltage down?

  • I am using plain tap water in my HHO generator (fairly hard water). Would I still benefit from using neutral plates, or do they just allow you to use more electrolytes?

  • Cool. Well done!

  • I'm just getting into HHO and this video helped me understand the neutral plate thing. Now what I'd like to see is this same test done on an HHO cell. That would make me a believer. --Ian
