Its a fucking MOVIE!
The director and casting agent can do what the hell they want, and maybe there werent a lot of Native AMericans on hand. It's just not cost effective to fly a whole bunch of Native AMericans from out of area for a scen or three when you can do a make-up job on some locals.
And yeah, I am half Native AMerican.
Fucking grow up.

Anglos as Natives...cover them with mud to hide the skin color...what a great idea! If I ever need an anglo in one of my films, I'll just get a fellow Navajo and cover him/her in some white clay and walla! I got me an anglo! Thanks for this fantastic idea!

Well, most films about the Vikings are also completely nonsensical to us Scandinavians. I'm not offended by that, I've gotten used to it.
