I bought a Kreg Jig because I saw Norm Abram use it, which if you do wordworking, should be enough of an endorsement in itself. I have to say that it really does cut down the time compared to using a lot of 45 degree bracings

Uh, when he says you don’t need a table saw or router, he is talking about the traditional methods for joining wood that require a dado, rabbet, etcetera to be cut. But I guess being the geniuses that you are, you already knew that.
