rider review of the new 2011 Cabrinha Crossbow 10M showing a brief overview of the kitebag, and also the IDS function in 21-27 knots to self-land the kite. Thanks to my son Nate for editing the video. Vid starts with the incorrect model year..the kite is a 2011. Either way, the IDS is the same for 2010 and 2011.

  • landing face down is 1 of the 3 things that always happens when you shift all the load to the front lines. Depending on wind strength and gusts, it can also sit on the edge as you walk up the lines, or slide to it's back as you describe while you go up the lines. You can usually make the face down landing happen by going up the front line "V" and giving a firm tug/yank on the top line. That works great in light to medium wind, but if it is high wind, just walk up the lines to the kite.

  • Interested in seeing more on the self launch you demonstrated.

  • can you explain how you landed the kite facing into the wind when it was at the side of the window?? I'm flying a 2010 switchy and when i activate the ids at the side of the window the kite ends up on its back and I follow the ids line to secure the kite. Thanks
