Hexapod Robot UNIFI 2

Hexapod robot designed and built by Andrea Foschi in the framework of his graduation thesis at the School of Engineering of the University of florence. After Andrea many students have worked on the hexapod. The most recent version of the control system is based on a dspic flex board running the ERIKA Kernel (board and kernel by Evidence S.R.L., Pisa, Italy).

Robot esapode sviluppato da Andrea Foschi durante la tesi di laurea quinquennale presso la Facoltà di Ingegneria dell'Università di Firenze. Dopo Andrea molti studenti di Ingegneria Meccanica e di Ingegneria Elettronica si sono avvicendati nello studio dei robot esapodi. L'ultima versione del sistema di controllo è basata su una scheda Flex full equipaggiata con un dspic ed il sistema operativo ERIKA.

Doesn't seem to be any more advanced than the walking spider in the Masters of the Universe toy line. Only difference is the legs actually stay on this one.

pretty awesome. Imagine if you'd tight something around the robot for the

skin with some texture, it would look like some small monster
