News anchor turns self in- charged with felony death of man

News anchor Tolly Carr was charged Friday, April 20, 2007 with felony death by vehicle in the drunk driving incident March 11 which killed Casey Bokhoven. Tolly Carr turned himself in and has chosen to remain in jail until sentencing and says he won't post his $100,000 bond.

Tolly Carr was also charged with driving while impaired in the accident Sunday, March 11, 2007, which took the life of Casey. Carr has also been charged with felony serious injury by motor vehicle in relation to his co-worker and passenger Fjola Wilson. Also, the DA is still not releasing Tolly Carr's blood alchohol test results citing their release to the public could jeoparize Carr's right to a fair trial. Tolly Carr issued a direct apology to the Bokhoven family, mentioning Casey by name. Carr's next court date is May 9.

Casey Bokhoven, age 26, was violently struck and killed by a pickup truck as he stood on a sidewalk waiting for his girlfriend. The truck, driven by WXII (Winston-Salem, NC) morning anchor Tolly Carr,vaulted over a small wall and hit Casey at 30 mph, dragging him 22 feet, hitting a building and coming to rest with Casey under the wheel. The incident occurred Sunday, March 11, 2007 around 3:40 AM. Charged with DWI, Carr admitted he had been drinking and warrants detail that he refused a Breathalizer test. Blood was taken from Carr, and the results of blood-alcohol tests have not yet been released to the public as of this date (April 20, 2007).

This is bull crap! My friend was killed by a drunk drive, who was on the wrong side of the road. 5 PEOPLE!! 5 PEOPLE died that night total time on that story 1 minuite 30 secounds. Tolly Car runs 1 man over ( god bless his soul ) He gets the front story a 5 minuite spot! Pure Bullcrap!
