Ordered a Blu-ray on the recommendation of Cyanidebreathmintz (Ben). Take a look at his video: Little Shelf of Horrors (DVD horror collection) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyQ-GewR5zc&sns=tw

  • @MintythecatIsABeast Just checked out a trailer- its a John Carpenter film do I'm gonna have to watch it I think! The Thing is one of my favourite films.

  • Nice to see your still alive mate!

I like to watch horror movies from behind the back of the sofa :)

  • @darrenwalshsock Yeah still here mate! When I was a kid my mam told me I used to hide behind the back of the sofa when the incredile hulk was on (part where he changed) lol!

  • For me Argento was one of the masters of the day. Suspiria was my hands down favourite just because Jessica Harper was in it! lol But, like other folks have commented, it looks FANTASTIC. The colours and the visuals just rock. Sadly, most of Argento's films have become a bit dated, but, they never fail to entertain or impress.

  • @DADDII2 That's a fair comment Mike - Jessica Harper is/was certainly a looker! The colours are so vivid on Suspiria I thought my TV settings were out at first! lol. I agree it's dated, had I watched this when it first came out I suspect it would have scared me a lot more than it did now. What's your favourite film genre?

  • Hey what happened to the Japanese mega drive games??!!

  • @ianwilson Well considering it now takes you 6 months to upload a really exciting Mega Drive video and (we) as your subscribers are forced to wait another 6 months just for another after that i'd say you have definitely changed. Your heart is no longer in the right place, i'm not being mean or unfair, just stating what most people here are thinking in their heads but are too shy to tell you the truth.

Looks like we'll have to find some other Mega Drive fanatic to worship. DanesGames perhaps?

  • Dario Argento made some awsome Giallo movies in the 80's very gory some of them see deep red amongst many other, plus awsome music, great stuff.

  • @FMYM2612 I've got nothing to add other than what I've already wrote- which I don't think you've read/understood (otherwise you wouldn't have posted this).

  • Nice one matey - hope you had a good one :)

I've added that to my list to check out - can't beat a good horror... :)

  • @ianwilson1978 It's a real tie when it comes to my favourite genre. I'm hooked on Westerns and Horror films. But to be honest I love just about all film genres. I adore film noire as well. I'm just a complete film-a-holic I guess. Having said that, except for noire and horror, a lot of films still fit into the Western genre. Sorry that was a loooong answer to a short question! lol

  • @ianwilson1978 Yes, not sure why they interest me :) I'd recommend The Prince of Darkness as: Alice Cooper has a part in the Film, Donald Pleasance is great in it, Victor Wong is in it (big trouble in little China and many other Films) and to top it all off the Devil himself happens to be canned up under a Church in a Catacomb - now that's what I call bold concepts that only the 80s can provide! :D
