Spiritual Commentary on The Lion King

I first watched The Lion King in 1994— the year I graduated from high school. The film moved me to tears. It was the only movie that ever made me cry. I couldnt figure out why. In college, I figured it out! So I wrote down my thoughts & after more than a decade its on YouTube!

The Lion King isnt just a cute story about a young prince losing himself and his kingdom, and then reclaiming them. Its really about the journey of enlightenment.

I read the Mahabharata during my college days. Then I thought to myself- "wait a minute. This is just like the Lion King: )" After figuring that out, it was easy to pick out the archetypes.

Wow this is awesome!!! I loved this movie as a child and knew that it had a very symbolic meaning. Glad as an adult I can see the correlations now. Blessings.

Though I'm new to this type of spirituality, I found this video especially interesting! I've always loved the Lion King and the symbolism, to me, was always apparent in one way or another. 5 stars!
