reports Pyrrhus as saying, 'One more victory like this will be the end of me.' From this comes the phrase a pyrrhic victory meaning one achieved at an unacceptable cost.

The territory of Epirus was the mountainous coastal region of modern north-western Greece and southern Albania To the north was Illyria and to the east Macedonia. I have never met a Greek that claims that thracians and illyrians were Greeks. Growing up I was never taught in school that Illyrians were Greeks. We say that Epirus is Greek. Any source you look up, whether it be encyclopedia, wikipedia, history channel etc. all say that Pyrrhus of Epirus was a Hellenistic king. Any attempt to claim Pyrrhus of Epirus as some albanian hero is an exercise in historical revisionism.
