  • Compare Frederica von Stades version of this. Her breath control is much better. You can hear Berganza gulping for air.

  • @arpeggio1358 Sorry, but you should realise she is here 62 years old... and pls listen version of this aria from the year 1962 or 1964. Teresa is one of the best Cherubino' ever!!!! But of course i don't wanna tell now, Federica von Stade sang it bad... NO! Only I recommend you to listen more pieces of Teresa Berganza :)

  • what year was this??

  • 1997 :)

  • Teresa Berganza was the first Cherubino I ever heard, so I can't help but love her more than any other, although I agree the Frederica von Stade is a genius in the role too. All around I just love this song!

  • che schifo...! quando si canta così è meglio andare in pensione; sembra una gallina con 1 cappio al collo e la ESSSE bolognese/spagnola

  • I hadn't heard Berganza's Cherubino before! Gorgeous! I love her as Carmen, definitely my favorite for that role, but I think I will like her just as well as Cherubino! Brava Teresa!!

Brava, eterna Teseresa

  • @BravaBerganza01 It's a shame that singrs have to get older and lose some of their voice quality. One of my favorite singers is at that point now, and it's quite sad.

  • @BravaBerganza01 I figured this was somewhere near the end of her career. I did listen to the earlier version of the aria, too. I'm still not crazy about her voice, a bit too harsh for my taste, but that's just my opinion. I know that she was very well regarded. People don't agree all the time, but it's nice that you and I can disagree politely. Too many persons on YouTube are rude and vulgar. Thank you for your reply.
