From Channel 9 News, Cincinnati, OH - In honor of Energy Awareness Month, these Cintas employees volunteered to shut off their computers, change into work clothes, and create a new green space for use on the company's Mason, OH headquarters.
Volunteers planted trees, perennial plants, and helped assemble picnic tables made from 100% recyclable plastic. The new Green Backyard" will be used as an outdoor eating area for employees on their lunch breaks, or for meetings.
Senior vice president of Global Supply Chain, Kevin Bein said, "Corporations have a great responsibility to not only be responsible for the partners who work for them, but also the environments and communities that they serve. And this is our way to remind our partners that we're doing just that."
The new green space is part of a larger company-wide sustainability initiative. Learn more at http://www.cintas.com/green.
