Being Coyote Wise: Living with Urban Coyotes

The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County thanks the Colorado Division of Wildlife for making available its "Being Coyote Wise: Living with Urban Coyotes" video. The video explains the basic nature of coyotes, a native wild dog in DuPage County, Illinois, and western states, and teaches residents how they can help reduce unacceptable behavior from these animals in their neighborhoods.

The two coyotes I saw in Dupage County were NOT seen during the springtime, while hunting for their young. Neither were they nocturnal either, but they WERE instead roaming in broad daylight. They did not demonstrate any fear of human contact, and were quite the opposite, very comfortable within their safe environment. This was near an urban residential area. I posted 3 clips that show them close to several roadways, yet they could have cared less. Check my channel to see the videos!
