XBOX 360 E68 Error

my second dead XBOX. XD
this happened a week after it came back from Microsoft's TX repair center, necessitating a second trip back there. E 68 means a hard drive failure, but I did not trust the diagnosis. The BOX was freezing during bootup (usually during the spinning orb), flashing 3 lights randomly, and suffering from catastrophic failure. Totally FUBAR.

my xbox i broken again :( 3rd time from sending it 2 be repaired since january. I have e68 and i have tryed to fix it without opening it useing the other videos.also the disk drive isnt working on xbox games and some dvds!! CAN ANYONE HELP ME??

oh man! that sucks. Don't open it. You'll void the repair warranty. Try to send it back again. Mine died 2x.. Fixed once, came back, died 1 wk later. I asked Microsoft to send me a new one instead, so I got a different unit back from the repair center. Since then, I've had no problems.

I just got the e68 error. So if you ask microsoft to just send u a new system they will?

no, i had the E68 *and* the RROD. it was the second RROD (happened 1 wk after I got my XBOX back from the TX repair center). because it died a second time, I asked MS to replace it and they gave me a new unit (or at least a refurbished unit that's different from the one I sent them). if you can get it to RROD, they'll fix it for you.

this happened to me 2 days ago, i had the e68 error msg and one red light, i disconnected then reconnected my hard drive, sorted:)

the next day i go to turn my xbox on and it took like two minutes to load the dashboard, then will not sign me in to xbox live, what the hell is wrong with this cheap xbox, HELP MEE?!

not signing into XBOX LIVE looks to be an internet connection problem. Check to see that your router is working and connected.

i get this sometimes on start up with the 360 slim 4 gig ever since i put in the hard drive from my old generic xbox, just turn it off and back on, seems to work for me with the slim... btw i did turn turn off and unplug my xbox from everything when i put in the hard drive, i guess its just some microsoft shit, i already have enough problem with windows in general

@i8ursole nothing is wrong wit the console just take out the hardrive and it will work.it can only play with a harddrive.

its not broken this happens when the hard drive isnt in right so you have to take it out and put it in right
