He eloped to Mexico with his high school sweetheart, Cassidy Black on Dec. 17, 2005. Cassidy gave birth to their first child, daughter Evalyn Day Bentley, on October 4 , 2008. She weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz.

First performed at the Grand Ole Opry on April 18, 2003.

Has released four albums under the Capitol Records - Nashville label: the self-titled "Dierks Bentley" in 2003, "Modern Day Drifter" in 2005 "Long Trip Alone" in 2006 and Feel that Fire in 2008.
