The Moon is plenty of interesting features to discover with an amateur telescope. Mountains, peaks, craters, ... Thanks to new astrophotography digital techniques the images captured from a backyard telescope may become quite impressive.

Enjoy it.

  • hey im considering getting an 8 inch Dobsonian reflector and im just wondering what the lens size (6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 17mm and so on...) effects the image with the 2x barlow. like, what size lens is best for viewing planets, stars and so on.

  • @Universound57 Best eyepieces for planets are short focal length orthoscopic around 10mm.

  • great music!!!

  • @260830107 Thanks a lot. Made by myself

  • That shold be a nice scope

  • Amazing video good detail

  • @Universound57 The best Eyepieces I find are BEST for Planetary Images are the Celestron Ex-Cel Eyepieces at moderate mm. focal ranges between 9mm. and 26mm. ranges + a Good Celestron or Meade Barlow 2x or 3x Doublet Achromat or Apochromat Barlow, the Doublets are Superb too, Apo Barlows like TeleVue will be too Expensive and its gain over a Quality Celestron Omni Barlow will show NO difference. Avoid short eyerelief eyepieces in the 4mm. to 6mm. range unless they can offer highier Eye-reliefs!!
