I thought this was going to be at least decent because of the people behind it and stop motion is awesome. But judging from the trailers, it doesn't look THAT great animation wise. James and Giant Peach looks a lot smoother and 13 years earlier. Am I completely off? Still, I really want to see this, but don't know if I'll be able to.

It looks a lot better on screen then you think. I thought the same thing at first when I saw the trailers, but it really looks good and quite fitting for this film once you sit down and watch it. It plays out more like a real storybook then a stop motion movie. I recommend checking it out because its very smart and very funny but if you can't then don't worry, just wait for the DVD or something. Ty for checking out my review.

@ngamer3k the reason that the stop motion is seems kinda bad compare to the giant peach is because in fantastic mr fox used 12 frames per second when usually stop motion movies use 24 per second.

and i agree stop motion is amazing
