I think he would have smiled. He was into all sorts of unusual bands like Shonen Knife, etc. While Kurt seemed like a very punk rock kind of guy he had a love for strange pop music. I think he would have liked a band like Polyphonic Spree covering Nirvana over a generic rock band like, say, Puddle of Mudd.
