i saw the movie..it is great but the end is so SAD...i just wish if it had a happy ending..Robert is incredible as his usual..love him

What a great man ! He's now 72 years old and will be celebrating his 73th birthday quite soon. The Clearing was a 2004 film so he was then something like 67 years old -( He was born in August 1937) - He still looks very handsome burt most of all he's a very talented actor as well as a great environmental activist .

God bless him for supporting a first time director and a first time writer. Hollywood is so often hypocritical in that they are so liberal (theoretically wanting to help underdogs), but they end up making the rich richer, in that they usually go out of their way to work with the (wealthy) tried and true, only bringing in an underdog beginner as a last resort.
