@Sk8brdr4life I'm respectful, I'm just pointing out that her versions of the story of her drug dependency contradict each other. Publishing a book on her sometime in the near future and want to include these from different interviews and articles about her where she tells different versions of how she got better. Obviously a tortured soul....

Ah man, you never what?? What did she say after that? I was so into that... She seemed like she was a very fun and loving person to be around. Watching her struggle to tell her story made me cry also. I just started watching Gimme A Break, the show ended the year that I was born so I don't know much about her. But, judging from the youtube vids I found, she was an amazing performer. I wish that I had the opportunity to see her live... If only I were born a few years sooner... RIP Ms. Nell Carter
