F1 Challenge 99-02 - Australia 1999 (Singleplay)

Replay of me racing against the 21 AI drivers in a FULL 58 lap race!
I was racing as Alessandro Zanardi on the PC with a Logitech Steering Wheel and Pedals! (NO keyboard racing here!!!)

The music is from another racing game: Formula 1 (1995)

F1 Challenge 99-02 is a Racing Simulator from 2002!
AI was given FULL aggression + their Strength was set at 93% (at 100% the SLOWEST drivers will drive fast like real-life TOP divers! This means you'll barely have a chance to beat the game's TOP Drivers, because they will drive much faster than real-world TOP Drivers!)

Only Steering Assistance, Spin Recovery and Invulnerabillity were switched off! Damage Multiplier was set to 100%. This means I had to be sure NOT to hit any other car!

I had a lot of help of the game; like Braking Point Assistance and Traction Control! But I still have to brake on my own! (otherwise I could fly out of a curve and crash into a wall or hit other cars!)

How was this video made?
I first had to search for a good replay. (I've already known what song goes with it!)
Once found I had to put "bookmarks" (while watching in-game) on the replay video so I can find "points of interest" rapidly.
Then after bookmarking, it's time to watch them with different point of views and make notes of which point of view is to be used and at what moment....taking the length of the music in consideration!)
Once I was done planning the camera angles (3rd person view, Cockpit View; TV view) I had to start recording, using FRAPS.
When all the interesting scenes were recorded it was time to start editting the clips.
Using Solveig AVI Trimmer I had to edit out the clips I didn't want.
Then it was time merge the videoclips together and add music!
This was done with Windows Movie Maker.
I've saved the video with 1440x1080 resolution for BEST view!
I had to use Xilisoft to reset the view back to full screen, because Windows Movie Maker will give you a small boxed screen if your monitor doesn't support that resolution.
And thanks to Xilisoft the video is now viewable in FULL SCREEN mode! (no tiny box!)

Then, the hardest work of all: adding annotations! I've been working on them for about 6 hours! (And the additional LAP Indicators, mentioned by HUNDOLOS, needed about an additional 2 hours!)

About the race.
At one point I was 1st and Schumacher was 2nd. But because Hakkinen and Coulthard went to the pits BEFORE me and Schumacher, we dropped to 3rd and 4th place. And Schumacher had the advantage that his pit was ahead of mine! That explains how "Schumi" moved up to 3rd in the pits!

turn off ai control and your car wont stop directly at the end of the race.

you can drive it back to the pit your own :)

you also sit in the car when you do the pit stop :D

One of the PC F1 games I played a lot.

I dont remember playing the Ubisoft ones online.

This was the first eve F1 game i played online.

happy days. A1 ring, San Marino.... ahhh

Cant wait for F1 2011. 2 weeks.
