  • I'm a MSF RiderCoach and personally don't agree with this guy wearing plain sneakers for foot protection; not to mention his jacket being unzipped while riding.

My note to the guy who made this video: consider "explaining" HOW TO swerve around an object to avoid it. No explanation was provided.

  • Generally speaking, I wouldn't use something like a quad to practice. Some cones work nicely and if you mess up for some reason, you didn't just wreck two vehicles.

Some people were talking about speed. My MSF course, if I remember correctly, didn't have us get up to 30 mph, but faster than this video. It's more about the technique than the speed. I would practice it at a variety of speeds - the more practice the better.

  • @PABLORL1989 lay it down. itll save your life, you may get scraped and brused but itll save your life.

  • if a car slams on breaks then you can do a few things, try and avoid it and risk yourself, or lay that bike down on. know when to avoid the car or to go on ahead and lay it down (for those of you who dont know what laying down a bike is, google it.)

  • ok this shows it at slow speed.. wat happens when ur goin about 50mph... wat do you do know...

  • shit

  • If you practice avoidance maneuvers like this, then the next time a situation presents itself that you can avoid, you will think, "I can just drive around the obstacle" and do so with confidence as you know you can.

If you never have practiced avoidance maneuvers then you are much more likely to think, "Oh shit", stiffen up, freeze and collide or slam the brakes on, skid and/or get thrown from the bike, or drop it.

  • I doubt this video really taught anything. Like that Quad magically showed up, or came to a sudden stop in front of him. I know what it's like to have a car pull in front of you and slam on the brakes when they notice you. At 45mph and 50 feet to go the only decision you have is how you're are going to hit him.

  • A bit slow and people learning should use chalk or cones and not a heavy object. They can make believe an accident instead of actually having one...

  • I guess some mc instructors are pissed that they aren't getting their $250 a seat because of these videos...
