Hi, I just saw your video and am very interested in learning more about your student's schedule...how did you set it up...what do the "icons" stand for?
please find me on facebook if you have an acct (Nina Cuetlach) I'm teaching first this school year and was looking just what you're doing...thanks!

I also think maybe a tent or area in the room for quiet time would be neat to prevent meltdowns. I'm not sure what kind of classroom this is, so I will hold my suggestions, but I wanted to say overall, I like how things are organized, neat and look appealing for the students! ;)

I have Asperger's, my brother is moderate-severe Autism, and my oldest daughter at age 2 was said to have Autism. When searching Autism, your classroom was among the list and I decided to take a peek and then to comment. I love how the small table/group table is away from the other students and kids can concentrate when needing some space. I think that is great for when a kid is upset or needing time away from other students.
Michellen2008 thanks for the suggestions! I always love them.. because you never know :) Actually the tent idea is a great idea (and I have one because I participate in the breast cancer 3 Day) Please feel free to email me any other suggestions at akbusybee@gmail.com :)
