This is impressive design but remember that this system operates on electric current probably Tesla's AC and there seems to be a very complex collection of parts that make up the system. Eventually, robots will make the feed stock (hopefully) and 3-D machining will print the parts leaving very little for human intervention beyond the initial design. What would be more impressive would be the development of a living, organic hand, arm, shoulder, brain, etc. which we can do by reproduction.
